Álex de la Iglesia resigns as President of the Academy because he does not agree with the Sinde Law

Today one of the great movie news of the day is that Álex de la Iglesia, President of the Spanish Film Academy, has stated in a letter published in "El País" that after the Goya Gala will resign from his position:

«I have to admit that these two years at the head of the Academy have been the best of my life. I've learned a lot, I've met great people, but from a different angle than the director. I began by recognizing that I downloaded movies, especially porn, and it made distributors, exhibitors and the entire profession in general feel terrible. My mother even called me. Those teenage statements led me to meet with them and understand their point of view. The same has happened to me with the problem that concerns us, the position of creators on the Internet. I started doing it fatal, without knowing the subject in depth and letting myself be carried away by my prejudices, which are many and varied ».
