"Ágora" receives applause from the public in Cannes but the critics receive it without great praise

Has already been seen Agora of Alejandro Amenábar at the Cannes Film Festival and although, according to the news, the public has applauded it a lot, the critics, some that I have read, are not entirely favorable.

In the video above you can see a few scenes from the film and they will serve to show you the key points of the film: an intimate peplum recreated in space and time where Hypatia (Rachel Weisz), philosopher, astronomer is the object of desire of a slave who converts to Christianity to achieve his freedom.

Do not expect to find scenes of mass battles because you will not find them.

Ágora opens in Spain on September 2.
