Adele breaks YouTube records with "Hello"

Adele

Last Friday we brought you the premiere of Adele's new single, 'Hello', the song chosen by the British to present her long-awaited third album, '25'. 'Hello' went from the lyric videos to arrive directly with a piece of video clip that has gotten Adele to break records on Youtube.

Anyone would say that the monopoly of records on YouTube is held by video clips with sexual connotations, such as those of Miley Cyrus or Nicki Minaj, or those of boybands such as One Direction with their millions of loyal followers around the world. So this new record shows that deep down we know how to value a good song when it appears before us.

Adele managed to accumulate with 'Hello' in her first 24 hours online a whopping 23 million visits. Today, Sunday 25, already exceeds 49,5 million, so it would not be surprising if Adele got 50 million views in the remainder of the weekend. It is figures like this that make it more than clear to us that there was already too much, too much desire for new material from Adele. We are less than a month away from the arrival of '25' and even with those the wait will be long.
