Oriental actress Zhang ziyi ("The House of Flying Daggers", "Tiger and Dragon") will be the new Mulan in a version of the oriental legend of the woman who disguised herself as a man in order to go to war with the imperial army.
The director is rumored to be Jan de Bont, the Dutch filmmaker responsible for films like Twister or the two Speed installments.
Filming will begin in China on September 15 and may hit theaters by the end of next year.
