Willem Dafoe, one of Abel Ferrara's fetish actors and with a certain physical resemblance to the real character, is in charge of giving life to Pier Paolo Pasolini. He is accompanied in the cast by the Portuguese actress Maria de Medeiros, which we have seen in Spanish films like "Airbag" or "My life without me", Scamarcio, protagonist of the Italian version of «Three meters above the sky» and Giada Bigtail, who already coincided with Willem Dafoe in "Before It Had a Name."
The film is currently in the running for the León de Oro, main prize of the official section of the Venice Film Festival.
