A very present future

DAnny Boyle, the director who became known worldwide for the magnificent Trainspotting, is back in the limelight with the premiere from his latest movie: Sunshine.

In this film, English changes register again like a chameleon changes color, since after 28 days later (capicua) with the horror genre and Millions, which was a kind of melodramatic comedy, he dares this time with science fiction of court «catastrophes that are to come if we continue where we are going». While it should be noted that Boyle believes that the film conveys the message that you have to trust the reaction and collaborative spirit of human beings.

The cast is international and at the helm is as in his latest feature film Cillian Murphy as the physicist Capa; Chris Evans (best known for being the Human Torch) as engineer Mace; Michelle Yeoh as biologist Corazón; Rose Byrne as the pilot of the Icaro II Cassie; Troy Garity as Communications Officer Harvey; Hiroyuki Sanada as Kaneda, the ship's captain, and Mark Strong as the Pinbacker medic.

From what little I have been able to watch, it gives me that the film apart from the scientific plot of the day and the scenes of spatial philosophy, is clearly influenced by Alien the eighth passenger. In fact, the director cites this together with Solaris and 2001: A Space Odyssey as the references he has taken when facing this new project. Without waiting for it to reach the category of such masterpieces, I do believe that Sunshine may be worth it. When I see it I will confirm it ... or not.
