Let's go with today's premieres of which I have not told you anything yet.
This afternoon an English comedy opens, A great day for them, directed by Bharat Nalluri, starring Amy Adams (seen in the film "Nice to meet you").
The director adapts to the cinema the novel by WiniFred Watson, Miss Pettigrew's Day. And, she says, it's a women's story told from a female perspective. All this in a humorous frame.
A great day for them tells the story of Miss Guinevere Pettigrew (Frances McDormand), a middle-aged London governess, is unfairly fired from her job. A new job attempt catapults her into the glamorous world and fast-paced social life of actress and singer Delysia Lafosse (Amy Adams).
