Yesterday Tuesday, the actor Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberley Buffington, filed a complaint for neglect against the manufacturers of an anticoagulant that accidentally overdosed their newborn twins, in which they were given 10.000 units of Heparin instead of the normal dose of 10 units. Fortunately, the babies are doing well.
In the complaint they accuse Baxter Healthcare Corp. of Illinois not to put labels that clearly distinguish their Heparin bottles of 10 units and 10.000 and not to withdraw the bottles from the market knowing that there have already been previous deaths of children from this type of confusion, which could be caused by anyone.
As compensation, quaid you want at least $ 50.000 in damages. We'll see how things turn out ...
