This weekend the Chinese film «Confucius», directed and written by Hu Mei, and whose cast include Chow Yun Fat, Zhou Xun, Lu Yi, Ren Quan and Qiao Zhenyu.
This 110-minute film will have a very limited release.
The film "Confucius" will tell us about the last years of the life of the influential Chinese philosopher Confucius, a period that spans from his assumption of political office at 51, until his death at the age of 73, a time in which the tremendous story of confrontations between the Chinese states. Born in 551 BC, he died a very important man in Chinese culture. It was a time when countless wars were fought between the kingdoms of China. King Lu receives the help of Confucius who uses his intelligence and charisma to calm his state of internal conflict and endless wars. But the great powers of the state will feel threatened by the philosopher, so Confucius goes into exile voluntarily.
