The Opera Prima as director of Angelina Jolie has encountered a major obstacle because the Bosnian authorities have revoked the authorization for the protest of an association of women victims of war, who argue that the script can be offensive and traumatic for them, when dealing with a Bosnian woman who is falls in love with a Serbian who rapes her in the Balkan War.
"It is a love story, not a political treaty," the actress clarified during her stay in Sarajevo, a city where she went as a goodwill ambassador for UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees).
The film has a budget of 11 million euros, with Jolie being the co-producer of the film.
