According to a statement from the Marin County Sheriff, Robert T. Doyle, Robin Williams had committed suicide, he was not under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, although medications that the actor had prescribed were detected and found in their doses adequate. The way he took his own life was with a belt that was tied around his neck, cuts were also found on his left wrist.
The great depression that Williams suffered led him to an unhappy ending, as we were used to in his films.
