The release date for all four films that will continue the saga of "Avatar", by James Cameron.
The production company, 20th Century Fox, has announced that the sequels to the most successful film of all time will be released. December 18, 2020, December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024, and December 19, 2025.
As we see, it is left a three-year hiatus between each installment of two films. In addition, Christmas dates are already set, before other studies anticipate. This is the case of the films of the highest grossing saga, "Star Wars", which seem to have reserved those Christmas dates for their premieres.
It must be remembered that, last year, Cameron announced he would make four Avatar movies, continuing the line of the first. He literally stated the following:
“We have decided to embark on a truly immense cinematographic process. The art I'm looking at is pure imagination, far removed from the first movie. It's going to be a really epic saga. "
Regarding the new films, he stated that each of them will work independently, with its own story, although all complement each other in some way.
The filming of the new Avatar movies
In the 20th Century Fox production company, the start of filming has already been shared, with a curiosity: the recordings of the four Avatar movies will be shot simultaneously.
The first and only film in the series so far, “Avatar”, has grossed more than 2.500 million.
