As I have already mentioned, This summer I think it will be one of the worst of the last years of the US box office in the summer campaign because the titles that are presented this campaign have not aroused too many expectations in the American public.
We already have the semi failures of "Robin Hood", who will end his commercial career in the USA with only 100 million costing 200; "Sex and the City 2", which will end with 90 million with a budget of 100 million and "Prince of Persia", which will end with only 80 million being a blockbuster with a budget of 200 million dollars.
The films intended to sweep the American box office this summer are:
- Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. From my point of view, I think it will be one of the flops of the year.
- "Eclipse", the third part of the "Twilight" saga will be the only film that, together with "Toy Story 3", exceeds 200 million dollars in collection this summer.
- «The A team». It does not aim very well but as it will be one of the few adventure and action films on the billboard, it should exceed 100 million.
- "Toy Story 3". Let's hope Pixar doesn't let us down with the third part of this franchise. Sure success.
- «The last airbender». The latest M. Night Shymalan film will be black or white, that is, it will either be an anthology fiasco or it will be a huge box office success. The trailer promises the latter, in the event that we are not facing an overly infantile production.
- «Inception». Christopher Nolan's new film, after "Batman, the Dark Knight," is also gaining attention online. We will see how it works at the box office.
- «The Karate Kid». This new version of the 80s classic, starring Will Smith's son, smells like it will be one of the fiascos this summer.
- «The Expendables». Sylvester Stallone has secured thousands of fans willing to pay their tickets to see the kings of action of the last decades of cinema.
- 'Predator'. This new movie about this franchise may also fail at the box office. It does not point to anything good.
