The 12 contenders for the Oscar for best production design 2014

The Great Gatsby

As in the vast majority of categories this year, one of the great favorites when Oscar Best Production Design, formerly known as Best Art Direction, is «Twelve Years a Slave«.

Steve McQueen's big rival in this category may be «The Great Gatsby«, A film that is discarded for the main categories after its bad reviews but that continues to be one of the most likely in artistic categories such as best production design and best costume design.
