Spanish cinema is becoming less complex and dares, little by little, to make high-budget films with the intention of releasing them around the world.
One of them will be the movie "Automaton" which will be directed by Gabe Ibáñez (“Hierro”) and whose screenplay has been written in six hands by Javier S. Donate, Gabe Ibáñez and Igor Legarreta.
The film will be starring Antonio Banderas and will place us in a world in which the terrestrial ecosystem is on the verge of collapse, "Automaton" it will be an original exploration of the relationship between man and robot, influenced by the singularity theory, which has been the subject of numerous bestsellers.
In the film, the character of Jacq Vaucan, an insurance agent for the robotic corporation ROC, routinely investigates the case of the manipulation of a robot. However, what he discovers will have profound consequences for the future of Humanity.
The film is produced by Vértice 360, Green Moon (Antonio Banderas) and Quinta Communications.
Filming will begin at the end of this year so it will be released in theaters in 2012.
