"Cube" the Spanish way?

I present the Teaser trailer of the movie Fermat's room that will premiere el January 31, 2008Directed by Luis Piedrahita y Rodrigo sopeña, with interpretations of Santi Millán, Alex Sauras, Elena Ballesteros placeholder image y Federico Luppi, where four mathematicians who do not know each other are invited to a house by a mysterious guy, under the pretext of solving a great enigma. The room where he will take them turns out to be a shrinking room that will crush them if they do not discover what unites them and why they want to assassinate them ...

Thus, at first glance, the argument is somewhat reminiscent of Cube, where several people mysteriously appeared in a cube-shaped structure, made up of several hundred rooms, similar to the Rubik's Cube. The characters were trying to get out of there, and to move around the rooms they had to circumvent a few traps, more or less as in Fermat's room, in addition, in Cube, the characters also looked for what related them and to discover the traps, mathematics played an important role. Despite the similarity I find, this film does not appear to have as much complexity as CubeIt is more like a… Cube light to the Spanish.

As an additional note, it should be said that this film is the first of the Spanish cinema who buys an island in the virtual community Second Life. This island will make exclusive images of the film available to users, they will be able to enjoy avatar-avatar chats with the directors and some of their protagonists, in addition to being able to participate in contests, it may be something interesting for those who move for this virtual world and, of course, a good way to promote the film.
