Spanish cinema continues to accumulate No. 1 at the Spanish box office

Spanish Movie has become No. 1 at the box office in Spain with a collection of 2,1 million euros. It is clear that when a film, whether Spanish, English, Peruvian or Japanese, invests in an excellent marketing campaign, the public responds and turns it into one of the highest grossing of the weekend.

In addition, Spanish cinema is in luck because the second highest grossing film of last weekend is also a national production, specifically, the most expensive Spanish cinema in all of history. Planet 51 achieves 1,9 and accumulates 5,4 million euros.

The film New moon It drops to third place with 1,7 million euros but continues to show that it has thousands of fans that will make it one of the highest-grossing films of the year.

In fourth place is placed Rain of Meatballs that, despite being released with almost 500 copies, it only gets 1,1 million euros. And that's thanks to its 3D copies that if not the fiasco would have been greater.

In fifth and sixth place we find more American cinema with 2012 Roland Emmerich and comedy Two very mature kangaroos.

In seventh place and tenth we find more Spanish cinema with Cell 211 (€ 750.000) and The Victory Dance (€ 313.000).

Finally, highlight that Paranormal Activity, the surprise film at the US box office, does not manage to repeat the same success in Spain and is about to disappear from the Top Ten with only 1,2 million euros raised in two weeks in theaters.
