Royksopp Inevitable End

After the successful launch of the EP with Robyn, the norwegians Röyksopp They have more news for before the end of the year, as they announced last week the release of a new album for next month. In a press release, the duo formed by Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland announced all the details of their new album, which will be titled 'The Inevitable End', and which will be released on November 11 through the labels. Cherrytree and Interscope.

In the statement Berge and Brundtland give the unexpected news that this, their fifth studio album, will be the last work they will publish in this format, however they plan to continue producing music but in other formats and configurations. The Norwegian duo make clear their intentions to break out of the traditional album format by stating: “We feel like this is a goodbye to the traditional album format. In our LP discography we have been able to say what we want to say and do what we want to do with the LP. We are not going to stop making music, but not in the album format as such. This will be the last. "

Röyksopp anticipates that this new work contains a more forceful and darker sound than his previous productions, a music that places greater emphasis on the lyrics of his songs than they had ever achieved before. The duo acknowledge that on this album they have been heavily influenced by Robyn. In addition to the already known works, Monument and Skull, this album will contain 12 songs, of which one, Rong, features Robyn's collaboration, and Jamie McDermott of The Irrepressibles also participates in some songs.
