On October 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles at the award ceremony of the hollywood awards, Richard Gere will be awarded the honorary award.
Honorary award that have received such important artists as Glenn Close last year Dustin Hoffman in 2008 or Diane Keaton in 2005.
Richard Gere receives this award for his great career in the world of cinema. Almost four decades have passed since the actor made his debut in front of the cameras in "Report to the Commissioner" in 1975.
At 63, the interpreter has more than fifty films in his filmography. It also has awards as important as the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for the tape "Chicago."
The actor has also been honored at the San Sebastian Festival where he received the Donostia Award for his career and where he has returned this year to inaugurate the contest with his new tape «Arbitrage«, Together with the Donostia Susan Sarandon Award.
