Documentaries nominated for the Producers Guild of America Awards

Which Way Is the Front Line From Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hertherington

El North American Producers Union, Producers Guild of America, has released the documentaries nominated for its awards.

At the moment it has only announced the candidates for one of its two awards, the documentary one. Nominations for best picture will not be announced until January 2.

The winners of both categories will be announced during the gala that will take place on January 19, 2014.

Curiously, none of the five candidates coincide with the nominees for best documentary in the IDA Awards, prizes of the International Documentary Association.

Among the candidates for this award we find the documentary about Wikileaks and the figure of Assange "We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks", which has been much better received than the fiction film "The Fifth Estate»Which deals with the same subject and which has been a real disaster both commercially and critically.

«We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks"Is one of the favorites for the Oscar nomination for best documentary this year along with films such as" The Act of Killing "or" Stories We Tell "

Nominated for Best Film documentary:

"A Place at the Table"
"Far Out Isn't Far Enough: The Tomi Ungerer Story"
"Life According to Sam"
"We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks"
«Which Way Is the Front Line From Here? The Life and Time of Tim Hertherington »
