You are right. The trio was ready to start this September 12 -most Portland- the North American leg of their tour but it has reportedly been decided to postpone all dates in that part of the continent in order that Brian molko can fully recover from a strange virus that he contracted in Asia.
As we reported last week, the leader of Placebo collapsed in the middle of the stage of the summer sonic festival (Osaka, Japan) and is currently resting at his residence (London), as his doctor recommended 6 weeks of absolute rest.
"What has happened is devastating for all of us… we have only canceled 3 Placebo shows in the 14 years we have been together. But hey, Brian's health comes first.
Our sincere apologies to all of our loyal North American fans, especially those who waited a long time to see the band. We will do everything in our power to make it up to you as soon as possible”Reads an official statement.
