This past weekend the Seville European Film Festival has put an end to what has been its ninth edition by announcing its winners.
Gabriela Pichler's Swedish film «Eat Sleep Die»Has been the winner of the Giraldillo de Oro for best film, a film that has also won the award for best actress for its protagonist Nermina Lukac.
The Silver Giraldillo for the second best film went to the Greek film «Boy Eating the Bird's Food«, A film that has also won a second prize, best actor for Yiannis Papadopoulos.
Two other films have received two awards in this new edition of the Seville contest, it is the Austrian «Paradise: Faith»By Ulrich Seidl and the Swiss by Ursula Meier«L'enfant d'en haut«, Both winners of the Eurimages Award, the first also awarded with the award for best screenplay and the second with the award for best photography.
Secondly "Reality»By Matteo Garrone, one of the sensations of Italian cinema this year, has won the Special Jury Prize.
The Giraldillo de Oro for best documentary was held by the British production «Leviathan»By Lucien Castaing-Taylor and Verena Paravel and the Spanish film«Map»By León Siminiani.
