Oscar-nominated soundtracks will have their own gala

Oscar

Another change has been announced for the next gala of the Oscar, and is that the nominated soundtracks will have their own space.

This coming year, and with the intention that this change has continuity, the soundtracks They will have their own event, a concert that will take place days before in which the nominated songs will be exhibited.

On this first occasion, this new gala will take place three days before the awards ceremony, on February 27, 2014, and will be held in the building Royce hall, located on the campus of the University of California at Los Angeles.

The reason for this change, as reported by those in charge of the musical aspect of the awards, Charles fox, Arthur Hamilton y David newman, is that the soundtracks have a great importance and have never had a place, due to their long duration, in the awards ceremony.

The intention is that, as with the honorary awards that are also delivered days before, the soundtrack concert is a annual event and that this change is maintained from now on.

At the moment only those who attend the appointment will be able to enjoy this event, since unlike the delivery of Academy Awards, the concert it will not be televised, at least not this year.
