The talented jazz singer will return to the ring next November, when he releases his fourth and new studio album, still unnamed.
For this job, Norah Jones decided to call in new collaborators, to go into the search for new sounds. "I wanted to play with more rhythm than on my previous albums, and some of the songs lent themselves to torrential rhythms in the background," explained the American singer and songwriter through an official statement.
The material will come out edited by the EMI label and Blue Note (historic house of jazz), and will be produced by Jacquire King, who has already collaborated on records by Tom Waits and Billy Talent. Most of the songs were composed by the artist herself, with the help of Ryan Adams, Will Sheff and Jesse Harris.
On this occasion, Norah Jones managed to add a true dream team of musicians: the drummers Joey waronker (Beck, REM) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), the keyboardist James poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green) and the guitarists Marc ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costelo) and Smokey hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer). With such names, and in the case of Jones, the result will undoubtedly be optimal.
