Nile Rodgers works alongside Guetta, Avicii and Carl Cox on new album

After his successful collaboration with the French duo Daft Punk On the award-winning album 'Random Access Memories', the iconic musician and producer of the disco era, Nile Rodgers, recently announced in an interview the start of the recordings for the new album by his legendary group Chic, which will include the collaboration of two electronic music superstars: David Guetta and Avicii.

Rodgers, leader and founder of Chic, assured in an interview with Billboard magazine: “It will be a great pop album. The idea is to offer fun music, capable of making us move and give us back all the joy and the will to live and have fun. Lots of quality music, with a strong inspiration for modern pop mixed with the originality of the past ".

The past year has been practically a re-release of Rodgers, one of the record's monumental figures and one of the most prolific producers of the eighties (Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran, INXS and The B-52's), currently living a second youth after his collaboration with Daft Punk. Possible contributors to Chic's new album include Disclosure, Chase & Status and Carl Cox's participation was confirmed. The first single from the album will be called 'Do what you wanna do' and a brief preview can be heard in the interview (min.37).
