It may also be possible that you know him if you were one of those who danced to death with that song that made famous the advertising campaign that Levi's jeans launched in 1999, 'Flat Beat', and whose video clip featured a yellow puppet who danced to the rhythm of the music and who also starred in this advertising campaign: Flat Eric.
Behind Flat Eric was Mr. Oizo, pseudonym of French music producer and film director Quentin Dupieux. Since he released his first album, 'Analog Worms Attack' in 1999, Mr. Oizo's career has been a non-stop of albums - eight published so far - and remixes for artists such as Calvin Harris, Air, Justice , Chromeo or Scissor Sisters among many others.
Mr. Oizo is back and, with him, Flat Eric. You could say that Flat Eric brings that slightly more commercial side of Mr. Oizo, something of which many of us are happy, because Mr. Oizo does not adapt to just any ear. Under the Ed Banger / Big Beat label, Mr. Oizo released a few days ago a new EP titled 'Hand In The Fire', for which he has had the collaboration of the voices of Charli XCX, which just by reading it sounds like a ball. 'Hand In The Fire', from the first listen, seems to have been tailor-made for Charli XCX.
But the EP 'Hand In The Fire' not only brings us the collaboration of Charli XCX and the instrumental version of it, which also comes with two hits of those that will make the most rigid jump and that for sure, but it will surely delight many night owls.
