Mónica Naranjo presents "Perdida", a new preview of "Lubna"

Monica Naranjo Lost

In just five days the highly anticipated new album by Mónica Naranjo, 'Lubna' will be released, his seventh studio album, a work in the form of a rock opera that, with the two songs that have been advanced so far, has not left anyone indifferent. Last weekend a third theme of this new work was released, 'Lost', confirming once again that those of us who were hoping to have a few dances with the one from Figueres will have to wait for another album.

With 'Perdida', La Naranjo brings us what might have been the first proper preview of 'Lubna', since 'Perdida' exudes the same exaggerated drama as 'Jamás' and 'Fin', but also has a touch - just a little - more pop and lyrics in Spanish and English. A very positive point that 'Perdida' has from the first listen is the amount of possibilities it offers in the event that remixes of it come into existence. 'Lost' wants to cover so much that, falling into the right hands, it could end up surprising more than one.

There were many of us who waited, despite the intention that this work was in the key of rock opera, that Mónica Naranjo would surprise us as she already did with 'Tarántula', with a more risky production that managed to be that appropriate step forward. That does not mean that 'Lubna' is a step back, far from it, and I refer to its position in iTunes, placing it at number 2 within hours of appearing. 'Lubna' is what Mónica Naranjo wanted to do for a long time, regardless of whoever she likes, an ambitious project like few others that already has a whole legion of followers and detractors, thus creating even more expectation for the final product, which we will achieve next Friday.

By the way, Lovers of record labels have an appointment with Mónica Naranjo from next January 29. These are the four dates that have been confirmed so far:
