Miramax studios close

It was the chronicle of a death announced but it has already been confirmed, the Miramax studios, after 30 years of history, have closed their doors.

Some of the most relevant films of the last two decades have come out of Miramax studios such as Sex, lies and videotapes (1989), Reservoir Dogs (1992), El Piano (1993), Pulp Fiction (1994), Beautiful Girls ( 1996), Shakespeare in Love (1998), Gangs of New York (2002), The Cider House Rules (1999), Bridget Jones's Diary (2000), Amélie (2001), The Hours (2002) and The aviator (2004).

Miramax had the distribution of six films pending, including titles such as Last Night and The Debt, starring Sam Worthington (Avatar). According to The Wrap, those films may never see the light of day or, at best, achieve a limited release.
