“I watched 'Inception,' and I loved it. But my heart sank to see that some of the ideas we had were reflected in the film. Therefore either we left it as is and people said that we had copied or changed it. We literally ripped 12 pages out of the script and the storyboards. "
Vaughn also commented that he hopes to follow the JJ Abrams model with the 'Star Trek' reboot: “Obviously Abrams couldn't make everyone happy with 'Star Trek,' but he did a great job. He did a tremendously exciting reinvention of that world, with the great characters. I think there will be some comparisons to 'X-Men: First class', although we are doing some very cool things that we haven't yet.
