Julia Roberts takes off her bad suit in Snow White to star in the adaptation of the award-winning play 'The Normal Heart', in which the actress shares the bill with Mark Ruffalo, on the first AIDS cases in New York in the 80s.
The film that is being shot to be released directly on television will be for the HBO network, which will premiere it in 2014. The tv movie will be directed by Ryan Murphy, creator of other television hits such as 'Glee' and 'American Horror Story'. Its original version, the play by Larry Kramer, was the winner of several Tony Awards (the theater Oscars) and as we have said, it focuses on the first cases of AIDS in New York in the 80s. Ryan has assembled an extraordinary castingor to bring Larry Kramer's theatrical milestone to the screen for the first time, and we couldn't be more excited to have this important movie on HBO. " This is not the first adaptation of Murphy, who already surprised in 2010 with the script and direction of 'Come, pray, love' work in which he already coincided with Julia Roberts.
Jim Parsons, best known for his role as Sheldon Cooper on the sitcom 'Big Bang' and recently seen in 'The Muppets' and 'A Great Year', is another of the names that have been confirmed for this film, like Alec Baldwin, currently on television with the seventh season of 'Rockefeller Plaza' and Matt Bomer who participated in the series 'White Glove Thief' and is about to appear on NBC's 'The New Normal'.
