'The Jungle Book' joins the list of Disney classics that go from animation to real action.
The film is directed by Jon Favreau, author of films as diverse as 'Elf', the first two installments of 'Iron Man' or 'Chef'.
Disney is willing to bring back all its classics in real action, and after bringing us new versions of 'Snow White' or 'Cinderella', this year it's the turn of 'The Jungle Book' almost half a decade after the premiere of the animated film shot by Wolfgang Reitherman.
On this occasion we will be able to see a much more spectacular but also much less fun adventure film that will star the young Neel Sethi and tons of CGI with the voices of many Hollywood celebrities.
Oscar winners Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken and Lupita Nyong'o will lend their voices to Bagheera, King Louie and Raksha respectively, with Bill Murray as Baloo, Idris Elba Shere Khan and Scarlett Johansson Kaa.
Fleeing an awards season in which excessive CGI would leave it out of the nomination for best special effects, the only award such a film could aspire to, this new version of 'The Jungle Book' will hit the bill on the 15th. April 2016.
