We can already see the first image of Jennifer Lawrence characterized as Katniss Everdeen, the protagonist of «The Hunger Games»(The Hunger Games), adaptation for the cinema of the first installment of the successful science fiction literary trilogy written by Suzanne Collins.
Directed by GaryRoss, the film tells the story of a future post-apocalyptic where a tyrannical government called the Capitol dominates the country of Panem, divided into twelve districts. This government obliges each of the districts to deliver a boy and a girl to celebrate the annual games called Hunger Games, a fight to the death broadcast live on television.
Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen, one of the participants of the games. They also appear in the movie Elizabeth banks, Stanley Tucci, Liam Hemsworth y Woody Harrelson. The premiere will be in March 2010.
