Despite the great censorship he suffers in his country, Jafar Panahi He has done it again, he has shot another great film that this time has won the Golden Bear for the best film at the last Berlinale.
Although not without controversy, since many have seen in the delivery of the Golden Bear full Berlinale, as well as in the Fipresci Prize of this same contest, a political maneuver. It may not deserve such accolades to the detriment of other films, but "Taxi" is certainly a great film in which the Iranian director once shows his genius, especially in circumventing censorship.
Filmed clandestinely, «Taxi»Tells the story of a taxi driver and his taxi, and of course of all the people who get into it. Jafar Panahi is in charge of the direction, the script, the production and even driving the taxi, since he is once again the protagonist of his film.
With the camera placed on the dashboard of the vehicle, the filmmaker shows us various characters whom he interviews while the taxi moves through the streets of Tehran.
The film does not have a release date for Spain, while in France it will hit theaters on April 15.
