Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Spyglass Entertainment, surprise movie lovers with a new premiere: Invictus. The script was written by the South African author, Anthony Peckham, on the basis of the book The Human Factor (of John Carlin). Morgan Freeman, Tim Moore, Gary Barber y Roger birnbaum de Spyglass Entertainment they are the executive producers.
Directed by Clint Eastwood, Invictus is a moving film that deals with the story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) joined forces with the captain of the South African rugby team Francois pienaar (Matt Damon), in their eagerness to achieve unity in the country. What a priori seems like a simple sporting challenge, is actually a political strategy where the human values they have a leading role.
The newly chosen President Mandela he is aware of the division that coexists in his nation, both racially and economically, in the aftermath of apartheid. Under fervent conviction, he believes that he can unite his people through the sport, the universal language. Within this framework, Mandela decides to support the homeless rugby team national on the occasion of world Championship of 1995.
The film opens on January 29, 2010 in all theaters and stars the winners of the Oscar Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby, The Dark Knight) Y Matt Damon (The unstoppable Will Hunting, the franchise Bourne).
