Rúnar Rúnarsson's Icelandic film 'Sparrows' has won the main award at the San Sebastian Festival, the Golden Shell for Best Film.
The Special Jury Prize went to the film Evolution, which has also been awarded for its excellent photography, while 'The apostate' receives a special mention by the jury, in addition to the Fipresci Prize.
The Spanish-Argentine film 'Truman' receives the Feroz Zinemaldia Award and its protagonists Javier Cámara and Ricardo Darín share the award for best actor. The prize for Best actress goes to Yordanka Ariosa for 'The King of Havana'.
