Steve McQueen's film continues steadily on its way to the Oscar for best film and at the Houston Critics' Awards it received the award for best film, one more , best actor for Chiwetel Ejiofor, Best Supporting Actress for Lupita Nyong'o and Best Screenplay.
"Gravity" on the other hand has won the best director award for Alfonso Cuarón, Best Actress for Sandra Bullock, Best Cinematography and Best Soundtrack.
The performing categories have been completed with a new accolade for Best Supporting Actor Oscar Favorite Jared Leto for "Dallas Buyers Club."
