The synopsis of the film is as follows:
David Norris (Matt Damon) is an ambitious politician about to get a seat in the United States Senate, when he meets the beautiful contemporary dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt), a woman totally different from anyone he has known until now. It doesn't take long for him to realize that he is falling in love with Elise, but mysterious characters do their best to separate them from each other.
