Flame arrester

In 2001, in the midst of the wide international recognition that the Brazilian group achieved Parallels of Success, a news shook the thousands of fans throughout South America: its leader, the singer Herbet Vianna had an accident with her plane, in which he saved his life as a miracle, luck that his wife Lucy Needham did not have.

This story, and his subsequent physical and emotional recovery (remember that he was left paraplegic), is what the documentary Herbert up close, premiered at the Rio de Janeiro Film Festival, which is developing these days.

The movie is directed by Roberto Berliner and Pedro Bronz, and travels the Vianna's life through testimonies from people close to the musician, including archive images and personal photos of the artist, from his childhood to the present.

The outstanding note of the film is the rescue of an interview carried out in 1987, at the height of Paralamas, in which Vianna assures that if she lost everything, she would start over no matter the moment.
