The known Screenwriter David Koepp has confirmed the absence of George Lucas in the creation of the script for the next installment of the Indiana Jones saga, film number 5.
In a recent interview, Koepp claimed that Lucas is not involved in the story, and he, who is the scriptwriter, has not had any contact.
Literally, screenwriter David Koepp said: “[George Lucas] is not involved [in the story] that I know of. I have not had any contact with him ”. Do you remember that Steven Spielberg had assured that Lucas would be as executive producer? Well, at least Koepp hasn't seen it ... ».
Remember that the sale of Lucasfilm a Disney occurred since 2012, including the franchise of Indiana Jones together with Star Wars.
It is also an important fact that there is a great friendship between Lucas and Spielberg, a compelling reason for the latter to invite his colleague to participate.
About the start of the film's production, Koepp has said that he expects everything to start in October 2017, although he assures that this question cannot be answered with certainty.
Some other data about the project revolve around the search for a good MacGuffin, understanding as such the element of suspense. In that sense, the screenwriter has ensured that the new idea works well, and the writing of the script is also progressing adequately.
Koepp has ensured that it is "Totally immersed" in the script of Indiana Jones 5.
The scriptwriter, who was also in charge of the script for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, wanted to joke about so many expectations, saying that in the new installment there will be many aliens, and that Indy will die in the end.
Koepp says he has everything ready now, but that Spielberg is too busy a man, and that is what is delaying the deadlines that were set at the beginning.
