Famous in Argentina for his countless roles in film and his classics whore, Federico Luppi He's been living in Spain for several and hasn't stopped filming. Now, in an Argentine-Spanish co-production that Direct to Juan Carlos Desanzo, will put himself in the shoes of Antonio Funes -a real case- and his experiences of the Argentine crisis in December 2001.
Funes was a former conductor who during the days of playpen he robbed the bank where he kept his money with a homemade grenade. Gastón Pauls ('Nine Queens') also participates in the cast. Desanzo, director of 'El Polaquito', among others, set out to make the film from a script written by Julio Bove and Fabiana Medici.
Luppi for many years was the emblematic actor of Argentine cinema. Many of the most remembered films ('Tiempo de Revancha', 'Plata Dulce', 'La Patagonia Rebelde', 'Martín H') have had him as the main character. Then, with the economic crisis, he decided to settle in Spain and it was in that country that he made his debut as a director, with the film 'Pasos'.
