Based on the book The Cure, written by Geeta Anand, Extraordinary measures (such the literal translation), collects the real history of John crowley and his wife Aileen, who are informed that their two children, Megan and Patrick, they suffer from a strange genetic disease that attacks vital muscles and organs.
Faced with the distressing news, the couple turns to medical specialists who will try to find a solution. In that search, they meet a doctor who will work day and night to find a possible cure.
Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell play the couple and Harrison Ford, who serves as producer here, plays the medical researcher.
The script was written by Robert NelsonJacobyes, while Tom Vaughan was in charge of the direction of this medical drama, which will be released in American theaters, the next January 22.
