Dave Gahan has confirmed that Depeche Mode will release their thirteenth studio album probably in spring, maybe in April 2013. The English group has been working in the studio that Martin Gore owns in Santa Barbara (California) with producer Christoffer Berg, producer of Fever Ray, who joined the team led by Ben Hillier in the third recording session.

Gahan has confirmed that they have a score of songs ready for the final screening. He has also talked about the possibility that Depeche Mode will redo a world Tour after the launch of the new work.

The singer has commented that "it is another electronic album and that the group has much more blues influences." We also know that, for the first time in Depeche Mode's thirty-two years of existence, Dave gahan he has written a song with Martin Gore, and has contributed as in Playing The Angel and Sounds of The Universe several songs. Pending an agreement with Mute, Daniel Miller's record company with which he has worked throughout his career, the group does not currently have a contract with any label.
