Charles lane, one of the central figures of good American cinema of the last 50 years, died last night in Los Angeles. The man was 102 years old and died of natural causes, according to the media.
Lane became famous in the movie world for his work on director Frank Capra classics such as "It's A Wonderful Life" and "Mr Smith Goes To Washington." In addition, he had an extensive career in television series, among which the famous "I love Lucy" stands out.
Born in San Francisco on January 26, 1905, in 2005 he was honored by television in the United States, following his 100th birthday. His last job in film was as a narrator for the film "The Night Before Christmas", released in the United States last year.
