Valérie Donzelli will attend the official section of the Cannes film festival with his new job «Marguerite and Julien«.
The film is the fourth feature by the French director after "La reine des pommes" in 2009, "La guerre est déclarée" in 2011 and "Main dans la main" in 2012.
"Marguerite et Julien" tells the story of Julien and Marguerite de Ravalet, son and daughter of lord of Tourlaville, who love each other tenderly since childhood. But, growing up, that tenderness turns into insatiable passion. Their adventure scandalizes society, which persecutes them. Unable to resist their feelings, they must flee.
The film stars Demoustier, recently seen in «Une nouvelle amie» by François Ozon and «Bird People» by Pascale Ferran and Jérémie Elkaim, who has already worked with the director in her three previous feature films, receiving the award for best actor at the Gijón Film Festival for "La guerre est déclarée" and at the Rome Festival for "Main dan la main."
Jérémie Elkaïm, the director's partner, is not only a regular as an actor in her films, but also works as a co-writer alongside her own Valérie Donzelli.
