Blur's stellar comeback in the Brits

Last night a new awards ceremony took place at the 02 Arena in London Brit Awards, the British equivalent of the Grammys. One of the biggest attractions of the night was seeing live Blur with their full original line-up, who gave the longest performance ever seen at the ceremony. "Girls & Boys" unleashed the beginning of the end, to continue with "Song 2", "Parklife", "Tender" (with a gospel choir) and finally, "This is a Low".

Five songs with which they closed a triumphant night, in which they received the “Outstanding Contribution To Music” award; recognition of his contribution to music. "The last time we were here, 17 years ago and what happened at that time had a profound effect on our lives," he said. Damon Albarn, when collecting the award.

Other winners of the night include the ubiquitous Adele ("Best Female Artist", "MasterCard Record of the Year"), who delighted us with a cut of sleeves, seeing that she cut it right at the beginning of her thank you speech to give way to Blur. Besides the singer, E He won the awards for Best Male Artist, as well as Best New Artist, the same one that Lana Del Rey achieved in the international category. Foo Fighters and Coldplay, meanwhile, they achieved the best international and British band. At the 02 Arena in London we saw Florence + The Machine, Noel Gallagher and their High Flying Birds perform alongside Chris Martin or Rihanna and Bruno Mars, both also awarded.

So, it only remains to hope that the Blur guys have felt the bug of stepping on the stage again and that very soon we will have new material to listen to and some date in our country.
