Aretha Franklin, the living legend of soul, has announced her return after overcoming a serious illness that has kept her away from the music world since 2010. In an interview recently granted to the American press, the legendary 71-year-old singer confessed the details of the hard fight he had to face cancer that seriously damaged his health in recent years.
Aretha commented in the interview: «The fight against the disease has been really tough, the side effects were devastating for me. Fortunately the worst is over, and now I am motivated and strong enough to sing again. Now is the time to celebrate this important moment, after many months lying completely in bed. I'm already fine and everything is better ».
The undisputed queen of soul announced that is ready to record what will be the 21st album of his unique career. Next week the recordings of the new album will begin, which will be edited by the legendary Motown Record label and produced by Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Don Was, the latter producer of the latest work by John Mayer (Paradise Valley).
