The last weekend of the Spanish box office has only had one name, Angels and Demons, which has swept the box office, achieving the best premiere so far this year with 5,1 million euros.
The second place is for the previous Nº1, the hannah montana movie, which already accumulates 4,8 million euros and at the end of its commercial career will exceed 6 million. A figure that was unattainable in my forecasts but it is seen that this girl has a pull among adolescents.
Third place is for Wolverine that in its third week achieves just over € 700.000 for a total of 7,2 million euros.
The fourth place is for Brain drain the Spanish film with the highest grossing of the year 2009 that already adds, after four weeks in theaters, a total of 4,83 million euros. And, it may be, that I reached the barrier of 6 million euros at the end of its commercial life in cinemas, a figure only available to very few Spanish productions in the entire history of our cinema.
Fifth, despite its success in the USA, it is for Star Trek that after two weeks it has only raised 2 million euros, well below the expectations that were higher than 6 million.
Finally, highlight that Fighting «Fists of Steel» debuts in sixth place with € 250.000 in revenue.
