A film that I had not seen, and that I was forced to see, both because of desperate and passionate recommendations, and because of the prestige of the director, was «Caotica Ana", from Julio Medem.
Film of the year 2007, which tells the story of Ana, a young girl who dedicates herself to painting, and to a totally bohemian and relaxed life, together with her father. One afternoon, a delightfully charming French woman named Justine proposes you to go with her to Madrid, to a residence created especially for talented young people who need and can grow in their own disciplines. Ana accepts, and in her search she falls in love, although she also runs into a personal reality that she did not know. The memories of thousands of different women coexist in it, from different times and circumstances. A gentleman introduces himself to her, and convinces her to undergo hypnosis sessions to discover what is underneath all that, and as the sessions progress, Ana discovers the number of beings, of lives that inhabit her, but always, each session, concludes with his death, with the death of the character.
The conflict resides in the opposition of forces between destiny, and Ana's fear of the inevitable. A film that, despite not being a novelty, seemed to me to deserve a special place. Medem is one of the directors who is best at using the camera, and in the materialization of his own person, when choosing the cutout to establish to tell such a particular story.
For those who haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
