After short teaser that we saw recently, Walt Disney Studios presents the long-awaited first trailer for 'Alice Through the Looking Glass', the new feature film directed by James Bobin that is based on the classic English novel by Lewis Carroll. In this second story Alicia (Mia Wasikowska) will be forced to travel back in time to save the unmistakable Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp)

The first installment, despite having been directed by Tim Burton, left many viewers a bit indifferent, especially those who did not quite understand the low fidelity that the quintessential dark gothic director had with respect to the original work, by far may their dreamlike and fantastic atmospheres always be spectacular. Many of the characters that appeared in the first installment, however, will reappear now: Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. Continuity is more than guaranteed!

The close-ups of the trailer remind us a lot of the beginning of Carroll's novel when Alicia discovers a new dimension through the mirror of her house, what we don't understand is what the Mad Hatter does in that kind of hell.. Has he finally been condemned by the Red Queen for having killed time? Let us remember that in the book "Alice in Wonderland" the Hatter was judged for playing with time, although the tea scene is a metaphor for the passage of time, played by a character who is trapped in it . In any case, and despite the infinite unknowns and inconsistencies that this new trailer gives to any lover of the English novel, we know that in this new film the Hatter is in danger and that Alice will come to his rescue, and for that will have to face Time itself, played by, nothing more and nothing less, than Sacha Baron Cohen.

What adventures do these classic and reformulated characters have in store for them? Knowing it is only a matter of time ...

'Alice Through the Looking Glass' will open in theaters on 27 May 2016.
