Alanis Morissette to turn her hit 'Jagged Little Pill' into a musical

In a press release the well-known singer said: “I am eager to bring the heart and soul of 'Jagged Little Pill' to Broadway and expand its essence. Explore the deepest emotions that the album contained, his feeling of power, humanity and above all spirituality and charm.

So far there is no written script for this project, since only in 2014 will work begin on the project, which will feature the artistic part, with the renowned Broadway composer Tom kitt, who will be in charge of the arrangements and orchestration of the musical. They will also be part of the project in the production Vivek J. Tiwary alongside Arvind Ethan David. In the statement on this news Morrissette also added: "I look forward to collaborating with Vivek and Tom and our great team to create something truly greater than the sum of our parts."

This Broadway adaptation of Morrissette's work will bear the same name as the well-known record production and will contain all the hits from the album, including 'You oughta know', 'Hand in my pocket', 'Ironic' and 'You learn ', as well as new songs specially composed for this show.
